Water Filteration Plant
What Is Water Filtration plant?
Water filtration plant, as the name suggests, is the plant engineered to filter wastewater. Raw water as released from household and industries is contaminated and pollutes the environment if it is allowed to flow as it is. Thus, the water filtration plants are used to purify the dirty water so that it can be reused for drinking & other purposes. It’s to mention here that water filtration plants use certain chemicals for the filtration process.
Chemicals Used BY Water Filtration Plants:
Sodium carbonate or soda ash:- it frees the water from its toxic acidic properties & adjusts pH balance of the water Polymer:- it offers support to the raw water Powdered-activated carbon:- it removes bad odors from wastewater Aluminum sulphate:- it works to join up little solvents that are dissolved in water
How Does Water Filtration Work
Water filtration plant is designed with 4 long pipes lined together with tanks or pit chambers. Here goes a brief on how such a plant works-
Step 1
First, raw water would be generated to pit chamber where chemicals would be would be added to it. The chemicals, as mentioned earlier, work to remove contaminants from raw water.
Step 2
Next, the chemicals-mixed raw water would be distributed to the pipes through rotating paddles. The paddles here work on a slow motion & small particles would transform into large particles- which would then settle under the floor.
Step 3
The large particles would take a sludge form now which would be dried through sludge lagoon. The drying is done for easy removal of the sludge. The revolving paddles would help raw water to leave small particles.
Step 4
This is a very important step here as it is in this step the actual filtration process takes place. The small particles would be separated through the sand filters – later on, with a combo of water & air, the filters would be cleaned up thoroughly. Clear water would settle into a Clearwater tank that would be located underground (of the main plant building).
Step 5
Next, clear water would be treated with chlorine drops as chlorine is really important to remove harmful organisms as well as other polluting solvents that can pose health problems for us. Finally, the clear water would then be released by the water filtration plant for safe use
Benefits of Water Filtration plant
Water filtration plant helps a lot in saving the environment, the health of the living organisms and it also assures money-saving benefits through recycling of wastewater. However, the most important benefit of filtering wastewater is that it clears the raw water from its many harmful disease-causing contaminants that can pose serious health issues to us. Laxmi Water Technologies is one of the most sought-after names when it comes to high end water filtration plants in India. The company is known for its premium water filtration plants manufacturing, in full compliance to industrial standards. Moreover, it also extends expert servicing and maintenance assistance for the water filtration plants.
